Corey Roberts – Director, Life Safety & Emergency Management

Corey Roberts is the Director of Safety and Emergency Management for FirstHealth of the Carolinas. Corey is a dedicated safety and emergency management professional that believes in strong customer service and preparing for the what ifs. Corey’s vision is to create a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff while ensuring preparedness for continuity of business for the health system. He has Associate of Applied Science Degrees from Forsyth Technical Community College in Fire Protection and Emergency Preparedness Technology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Emergency and Disaster Management from Western Carolina University. He is a Certified Associate Emergency Manager from the North Carolina Emergency Management Association, a Certified Healthcare Emergency Coordinator from Augusta University, a Certified Healthcare Emergency Manager from the North Carolina Office of Emergency Medical Services, Certified Life Safety Specialist from NFPA, and a Certified Healthcare Safety Professional from IBFCSM. Corey has twenty plus years’ experience as a public servant to his community serving as a firefighter, emergency medical technician, emergency manager for local government and a regional healthcare coalition planner. He has responded to several local, state, and federally declared disasters such as the Stoneville, NC tornado (1998), Hurricane Floyd (1999), Evans Road Fire (2008), Hurricane Ike (2008), Hurricane Matthew (2016), Hurricane Florence (2018), and Hurricane Michael (2018) along with many non-declared events.

Sean McCloskey – Chief of Cybersecurity, Region 4, DHS Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency

Sean McCloskey is the Chief of Cybersecurity, Region 4, within the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Cyber and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). As the Chief of Cybersecurity, Sean leads the Cyber Security Advisors in Region 4 that assist critical infrastructure owners and operators in improving their cybersecurity capabilities and posture. Sean is based in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Prior to joining DHS, Mr. McCloskey served as an information security consultant with over 18 years of experience supporting government clients. Mr. McCloskey has also served for over 26 years in the United States Marine Corps Reserve (USMCR).

Mr. McCloskey holds a B.S. in Computer Science and a M.S. in Information Security and Assurance.
