A zero-day vulnerability refers to an unknown or recently discovered security flaw in software or hardware before the vendor has a patch available, making it highly exploitable by attackers before any defenses can be put in place, leading to significant risks like data breaches, system disruption, and unauthorized access to sensitive information.

Until recently being promote to CISO, Cal was the manager for IS Security Services were he managed day to day network and information security operations for FirstHealth. He has a bachelor’s degree in information technology and an associate’s degree in Electronics.
