Optimizing Patient Engagement

Patient engagement is an essential strategy for enhancing the experience of care, improving the health of populations, and reducing the costs of health care. While there are many elements that contribute to success – defining the organization’s vision for patient engagement, developing the services and processes that best fit this vision and growing a culture of engagement – employing the right set of technologies is essential to better understanding the health of your patients and facilitating the communications between patients and the health ecosystem. This session will delve into how technologies like mobility, cloud and Big Data can impact your organization’s patient engagement approach.
Shawn Remacle is the Director of Industry Sales Engagement for Microsoft Health and Life Sciences and is based in Reston, VA. He is responsible for shaping industry conversations around Microsoft products and services and working with partners to broaden the reach of Microsoft health solutions. For 10 years prior to working for Microsoft, Shawn was the Chief Information Officer at a multi-hospital, integrated health provider in North Carolina.
